All girls who grew up in the 80's...help!!
 

80's GCers, I need your help. Do you guys remember those Best Friends Forever necklaces? The ones that were shaped like hearts and were broken down the middle, and one half had the BE FRI letters and the other half had the rest of the letters? Does anyone have any idea where I can find one?? I am looking for the 3 heart necklace to give to my 2 friends as a joke for Xmas and can't find it anywhere. I've tried Claire's and Ebay, and have even searched on Yahoo for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!!

Umm, I didn't think these were limited to the 80's. My best friends and I had a 3-way one and we got it in the 90's.

Are you looking for the plastic ones or gold/silver ones? If you're looking for the real ones, try like a Charms D'Oro or one of those vendors that set up shop in the middle of the mall. I remember in the 80's they had all those plastic charms to go on those charm necklaces...is that what you're referring to?

No, not the plastic ones. I'm looking for the silver ones. Where did you get your 3 way one?

Here's something, although it's gold. I had one when I was a kid and it was gold too -- I was "BE FRI" lol.

I can't believe Claire's doesn't have them...wow. Maybe try Kohl's or Target, or even a Limited Too. Also, if your mall has a piercing kiosk like Piercing Pagoda, they usually sell that stuff too.

Ooh, Piercing Pagoda is a good one. I had forgotten about them.

We got ours at one called Charms D'Oro. That's where we stopped and bought all our charms back in the day. The one we got was gold and it said "We're" on one heart, "Best" on another heart, and "Friends" on the last heart. The words didn't split down the middle, but the heart itself did.

oh wow, i remember those! i can't believe you can't find them! :( i'm raking my brain for ideas, but can't think of any other places than what's already been mentioned - piercing padoga, claire's, etc.

I found that charm too! It's similar, but not the same. Did you notice that it's misspelled? :)

ETA: This one's cute, even though it's gold.

ETFA: This one is almost exactly like the one we had. Now that I think about it, it was 3 separate hearts, not one heart in 3 slivers.

I had a three way one too I think I got it at Mervyn's or something like that... Goodluck in your search can't believe it's so hard to find.
