Becoming a Member of AKA

Hello Ladies,

My name is Tonika and I am in my second year at Fresno State. Now that I have become adjusted to the college life, I am now intrested in becoming a member of AKA. I just recently began researching the sorority and I like what I have learned so far. Anways I'm just interested in hearing how you guys' experiences have been being members of AKA. Also any other feedback you have for me. Thanks

WTF?!?

To answer your question, being a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha is one of the best things I've ever done. I'm sure my sorors would agree with me. However, beyond that, please read the Pearls of Wisdom...the first thread in our forum. Also, please take the time to speak to members on your campus.

LOL! Too late now, but good advice moving forward.

Sisterfriends, here are my thoughts:

If you cannot follow the protocol of Greekchat, how can you expect to follow the protocol of the sisterhood? People trip on how we harp and harp about reading the POW and not talking about membership and all that. But has anyone ever thought about how these people come on here and post and didn't even bother to read the very first thread/announcement in the forum? What kind of research could you POSSIBLY be doing? If you missed the first thread on here, what else have you missed? Did you miss rush? Or will you be late? Did you miss any information on www.aka1908.com? Or did you even go there? IF you are ever granted membership, will you even bother to READ your documents??? I'll say it one last time, if you can't even follow the written words on this forum, how could anyone expect you to follow the written (and unwritten) words of our beloved organization?
