Greek Gifts

Hey, I was looking around on greek gifts etc. online and saw some Alpha Phi Alpha things on the clearance page, and just wanted to tell you all since it's that time of year when everyone is buying gifts.

Hope you all have a great holiday season! Here's the link!

SEX CORRECTION!

Dear European Woman w/the anacronym KDAngel please take notice of the fact, that ALPHA PHI ALPHA FRATERNITY, INC. members are MEN not "ladies!" For goodness sake! Moderators, please PURGE this gift segment immediately! Thank you.

KDAngel 11-27-2004 02:57 AM

But the stuff on the site is for guys...

Re: Point of Clarity!

Dear European Female KDAngel I respect your gesture to inform my fellow esteemed brothers of ALPHA PHI ALPHA FRATENITY, INC. but your intention was with a reference of "ladies" which I as a bonna-fide BLACK MALE who is strictly HETEROSEXUAL will NOT tollerate and allow to be taken for granted by NO PERSON whatsoever despite whatever intention(s) h/she may have! Your offer to provide "gift" information is laudable and I do like the license plate frame and flask. If you so desire to purchase one or two of these items for me I shall surely accept your kind gesture, but only if I am to receive such as a Kwanza gift, as I do not celebrate your holidays.

KDAngel 11-27-2004 03:24 AM

Hey I was just trying to be helpful. I know college students in general don't have tons of money to spend and I thought I'd show some cute Greek gifts on sale. I copy and pasted the post in different forums, so I apologize for the "ladies" comment. I went back and edited them all out of the male groups. I hadn't even thought of that earlier.

Also, seeing as how you do not know me, you have no way of knowing whether or not I'm European. Furthermore, "I" do not have a holiday, or holidays for that matter. People buy gifts for graduation, Kwanza, Hanukkah, Christmas, the new year- many things. I by no means made this post just for you. And I daresay there's someone in your fraternity who may be looking for holiday gifts. I apologize that I did not specifically post something to suit your needs and specifications though.

Good day.

KDAngel, thanks for posting the link! I saw a few things I may purchase as gifts.

Acceptance of Apology.

My dearest KDAngel your apology is hereby accepted. Regarding my not knowing of your ethnicity I do believe my assumption to be with merit, because though I realize there exists some(only a few THANK GOD) BLACK WOMEN who are members of predominately caucasian sororities a great many beautiful BLACK QUEENS truly respect the rich history of NPHC sororities comprising of WISDOM, STRENGTH, POWER, SUBSTANCE, BEAUTY and LOVE for the BLACK RACE and BLACK MAN. If I am wrong I stand to be corrected, but I am almost certain that my stated view is felt and shared by other BLACKS. I make every attempt to "BUY BLACK" and subscribe to cooperative economics to the best of my ability which best reflects the reason I doubt I will patronize the business you have provided insight on. What is the ethnicity of the owners? Regardless, feel free to obtain that flask and license plate frame for me if you so desire the happiness of this GREAT BLACK MAN! Thank you.

Same here...in our family's Christmas gift exchange, I got my cousin's name. He just became an Alpha--and I've been looking for gift ideas for him. :D

Thanks for the link. I did not see anything for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. However, I certainly would take advantage of the low priced items if they were available to my organization

When I checked, there was a tumbler that matched the three I got as crossing gifts! (From three different brothers -- yes, that's what happens when you get gifts last minute from the Howard bookstore, all they had was tumblers and pins, but you better believe I am thankful for those tumblers, yes I am! I drink my Tang from my Alpha tumbler!)

Again, I did not see any clearance items for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. If I'm incorrect, please direct me to the site.

I don't see how you could have missed it....I clicked on the link, saw the tumblers, and "Alpha Phi Alpha" was the first fraternity listed on the pull-down menu.

Professor 11-29-2004 04:10 PM

I assumed the clearance items to be those listed on the page. I did not click on each item to determine if XYZ can be ordered for Alpha - - - thank you so much for making this clear. Now I see the light - - -
