Hello Ladies,

I am still in high school and I want to pladge as an AKA. This has been a life long dream for me, my whole closet is full of pink and green. I feel I have the potential to be one:), but what I'm asking is can I join a younger organization so when I do pledge I can have knowledge on them. I will be attending Hampton U the house of Gamma Theta AKAs. I'm not scared to pledge even though I have heard roomers, because I know If I'm really meant to be an AKA then the task my soros put before I can accomplish. I just want to know what sorrority life is like:).

One aspect of "pledging" (which, btw, doesn't exist) as you call it is following directions. Here's your first assignment. Read this:

(I had my face cracked from not reading initially and should have known better. I'm trying to save you from the same embarrassment. Run now, while there's still time.)

Although I am a not an AKA, my SisterGreek offered you some very good advice that is applicable in the real world period. You can't play the game if you don't know the rules. The link to which she referred you is the first thread of this forum and it explains the rules of this forum. You would be wise to read it before you post again.

You would also be wise to practice humility, and good articulation--spelling and grammar when addressing the ladies of AKA or any organization to which you hope to seek membership.

SisterGreeks, hope I haven't overstepped any boundaries.

neither one of you have answered my question just gave me advice off the topic:(

I have some advice for you, though I will censor it because this is a public forum:D

Keep your mouth CLOSED and your eyes OPEN. Speak with some of the AKA's that you know for advice on what is proper protocol.
Learn the meaning of discretion and pratice it. I will take you alot further.

This is really not a good place for your type of rhetoric.

Trust me!

Look little girl, the only thing YOU need to be focused on right now is Language Arts! I hope that your application to Hampton U does not have as many grammatical errors as your posts on this message board. How anybody got into Alpha Kappa Alpha should be the LEAST of your concerns, because with your attitude and ignorance membership in my organization will not be an option for you anyhow. Go read a book!

ladygreek 11-27-2004 07:24 PM

She PMd me and told me she was 16. But now I am thinking that the whole thing is a hoax.

pinky4life 11-27-2004 08:03 PM

what

I am not joking I am 16, I see I can't get any answers from you guys because you think I'm trying to disrespect you guys, so I'll just leave the subject alone. Where ever I go after high school is just what it is meant to be.:(

pinky4life 11-27-2004 08:14 PM

My apologies

Please don't look at my messages as me thinking I'm already in the organization or I have a better chance than anyone elsa. Now I know that you can't expess this information to me because I am not a member I apologize. I'm just in high school, I didn't know I was just curious, topic dropped:(
