Okay - don't front and don't hate ...
I know that we all love our own organizations but you gotta give respect where respect is due. To that end ...
Is there anything that you ever used to ENJOY seeing ANOTHER organization do? Even if it was in direct competition to yours? (To keep it interesting, men should only post about other frats and women about other sorotities. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif) I'll kick it off ... Back in my day (early 80's), party-strolls were a relatively new phenomenon but the Alphas at SIU (Beta Eta chapter) had it down pat. I can specifically remember them on my campus ... at a party ... about 25 deep, strolling to the sounds of Slave's "Snap Shot." I can't hate - them boys used to be TIGHT with that! ------------------ IotaNet Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. At the Philly Greek 2 years ago, the AKAs from an undergrad chapter in Virginia were off the hook! There were only 4 of them but they were tight, energetic precise and hyped. Of course they won because they deserved it.

A few months ago, I went to the AKA Regional Stepshow and there was the Alumnae Chapter from Cleveland, Ohio (my hometown) and there was an older AKA who stepped her BUTT OFF. Later I found out that I went to school with her daughter and had to give her some FIRST 2 @ HOWARD U Love http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif

The Delta's at my alma mater, (Wittenberg University) used to do this stroll that I absolutely LOVED!!!! It could only be done to fast beat songs, and it was just too cute!!! I beg them to do it every year at homecoming!!! LOL! They try to act like they too old to do it (it's VERY fast paced, and bouncey and stuff), but they do it (for me, lol) every year!!! [*sidebar* CT4, you goin' to homecoming this year? *end of sidebar*]
The SGRho's have a thing that I've seen done in stepshows, where they make these TIGHT beats with plastic cups (tumblers?)! I LOVE THAT!! I've seen it done TWICE, and both times they won the show! It's so original! [This message has been edited by Ideal08 (edited June 20, 2001).] |
I love seeing other orgs. step and party stroll. Even if they're doing a "friendly" diss. As long as they're representing, PERIOD, they get love and respect from me.

I'd have to say, at the AKA Alumni Stepshow two years ago at Lake Clifton High School in Baltimore, the Zetas were off the chain! They stepped something fierce and were quite impressive.
This past year at the DC Alumni Stepshow at Howard, the AKAs did a good job too (that's why they won). ------------------ Baltimore Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. #47 of Triage 47 SP'01 "Every woman dreams of wearing crimson and creme." |
the AKA's at Bethune Cookman use to stroll to Strafe's "set it off" one of my best friends is an AKA and when she crossed i think i was as happy as she was. so when she did her probate show...i cried when she set it off.
i actually loved it when the all the greeks represented in strolling. it is a pride thing that shows us all representing. ------------------ Delta Alpha Spring 94 http://www.plauder-smilies.de/coolman.gif _________________________ http://www.plauder-smilies.de/angel3.gif Imaginer un métro rempli avec les anges tombés...
