I was wondering for what events does your chapter perform 3rd D? We have done it for a person transferring to another school, going alum-of course, and people getting married.

All those are cases where a sister is entering the Third Dimension of Phi Mu...Alumna membership (1st - provisional member, 2nd - initiated collegiate member).

Any reason a sister would be entering alumna status IN GOOD STANDING is when 3D is appropriate. Consult your ritual manual (NOT ritual book) for further information.

We do waaaay too much...Ours takes all day. I know it is ritual but I hated it. It got to where it wasn't even fun because there were soo many and it took so long that no one ever came. They just took the fine.

And the only time we do it is in the spring when those who are finishing their 4 years as a member....we don't have 5th year members even if they aren't graduating for another year.
