I need help from NPHC groups.

I'm a PX at an all-locals school. Our rush is soon, very soon. I just want to know what steps I should tell my girls to go through if they decide that they are interested in one of our NPHC groups? Since all of our chapters are city-wide, how do I find who to contact? Is there a formal recruitment process? I just want to have some sort of info to give them if they decide this is the way they want to go, and I'm kinda not in the know about the system and how it works, so if someone would give me a bit of a clue, I'd be very appreciative. Thanks!

Discretion is key.

NPHC groups hold informational meetings for interested ladies, they do not hold recruitment parties. Women that are interested in the NPHC pursue membership in only one group (of their choice). I believe that the preferred method is for interested parties contact the groups via the national organization, if a local contact isn't readily apparent.

Basically, if you have women that are interested in the NPHC, they need to do the work to find out information, you should not provide it to them. That is part of the process.

There should be contact information for the chapter at your greek life office IF the school is part of the city-wide chapter. All of the D9 orgs handle who's eligible differently but if there is no contact information at the campus they are probably out of the loop. We do not have formal recruitment in the same way that NPC groups do so if they are interested they would have to attend the rush activity sponsored by the sorority whenever that occurs. At this point in the semester very few NPHC groups are likely to be rushing so they would need to check out other activities this fall and check on rush in the spring IF the sorority is having it.

Penguin thanks for trying to help but the discretion piece isn't as crucial to this question. There are some campuses that are part of city wide chapters that have no members on EACH campus so letting them know they need to search elsewhere wouldn't be a bad thing.

Our NPC chapters invited me to speak on behalf of our council about the differences in our recruitment so that is also an option.

Some oldies but goodies:

Could some BGLO ladies please explain how the NPHC sorority rush process happens?

Thanks so much! I just didn't want to give these girls bad information. You guys are awesome. :D

I think it is awesome that you are keeping this in your mind as an option while serving as a PX for NPC recruitment.

Sometimes girls don't fit in the locals here, it happens. Sometimes it's just not a good fit for them, they don't feel comfortable or welcomed or the houses aren't receptive to them (which I pray won't be the case)!. But a lot of the girls don't even realize that this is an option for them on our campus. It's about finding the right place..rather than forcing yourself into something you don't want/feel comofortable in.
