Will they fine them like they did Janet? Me wonders?

Paradise359 11-17-2004 11:10 AM

That's crazy. After the whole Janet thing, why would they even think of doing something like that. And once again, esp. on the west coast children were watching. But watching the AMAs, Nicolette Sheridan was practically naked. Maybe she's just trying to get all she can out of her show in case it doesn't last.:o

Has anyone seen an NFL sideline? With the cheerleaders wearing outfits you could "floss" with? I'm not complaining, but a little perspective is in order.

I thought the MNF was just a bad show open because it had nothing to do with football and was a shameless cross-promotion by ABC. But for the sanctiminous, hypocrital NFL to suddenly get mad about it when NFL cheerleaders "shake it like a polaroid" every week, is a little dishonest, IMO.

would it be as big a deal if the player was Peyton Manning, for example? just wondering...

You know that Peyton wouldn't be doing that, LOL. Terrell Owens is the NFL's reigning king of flamboyance, but you do raise some thoughts.:p

*hijack* What was that little ignoring game that McNabb and Owens kept playing on the sidelines?

Come on....if Nicolette Sheridian bared it in front of almost any NFL player (they are male after all)...do you really think their mind would be on the game???

That is the shock and outrage here....that football would come second to a good grope...

Depends on the jock's taste. If they want more cushion for the pushin, Nicolette won't appeal to them.

:p

They were parodying something that took place in a previous game. In the earlier game, T.O. was following McNabb around yelling at him about something, and McNabb was trying to ignore him. Everyone made a big deal about it, so they decided to make a joke of it.

TonyB06, i do indeed;) my take is that this is more about race, less about raciness. many of the folks who've called our local Black Talk radio station seem to agree w/me.
Mandingo, that fits...:p

I agree.

djjukebox 11-17-2004 06:25 PM

my thing is.....

People are pissing and moaning about this but it's partial nudity like that EVERY DAY on almost EVERY SOAP OPERA.

Steeltrap 11-17-2004 06:34 PM

^^
Plus the NFL has those freakin' Viagra/Levitra/Cialis commercials.

Exquisite5 11-17-2004 08:19 PM

I agree with what you guys are saying, but I can see the other side as well.

If I were mom and wanted to guard my child's "gates," I might be upset. I probably didn't expect that my ten year old son would be sitting down to a naked woman jumping on man when I ALLOWED him to watch the football game. I likely knew about the cheerleaders and figured that "at least they are clothed," but Nicolette Sheridan jumping on any man (of any race) probably was not a factor I considered in my decision.

I probably don't care about Soap Operas and what is on them because 1) my son is at school and 2) is HIGHLY unlikely to watch a soap anyway.
