LGBT celebrities

The "smart people you'd make out with" thread discussion about whether or not Anderson Cooper is gay got me wondering if there was a confirmed list of celebrities who have confirmed their homosexual or bisexual orientation:

http://www.brainyencyclopedia.com/en...al_people.html

I knew about Danny Pintauro and Chad Allen (such a waste :( ), but I didn't know about Casanova, the guy who played Brad on Young and the Restless, Cesar Romero, Jane Addams, and the guy who played Carl Winslow on Family Matters. Interesting list.

They also have a list of debated orientation, as well as a few names of those who are no longer LGB.

The guy who played Carl Winslow is gay???? Holy ISHT! I did not know that.

Others are Sir Ian McKellan from Lord of the Rings and Rupert Everett from My Best Friends Wedding.

Ok I've looked at this list and most of the people that I knew where gay ok but some of the names I just have my doubts:

1. Reginald Vel Johnson (yes, from Family Matters)
2. Poria De Rossi (Alley McBeal and that new show on Fox)
3. {edited out} because I just read to darn fast and focused on the famous name:rolleyes:
4. Paul Winfield (I have doubts, the man is no longer with us, and as I review some of his works in my mind....maybe, but still doubtbul)

I'm CTFU that Stephen Cojucaru is on their "debated" list.

LOL...I think they actually mean that they are debating as to whether he is gay or bisexual.

3. Martin Luther King, Jr. I have serious doubts about this one
4. Paul Winfield (I have doubts, the man is no longer with us, and as I review some of his works in my mind....maybe, but still doubtbul)

Bayard Rustin, civil rights activist, organizer of the 1963 March on Washington, introduced Martin Luther King Jr to the writings of Mahatma Gandhi and non-violence, fired for being gay

But he seems so stereotypically gay on TV......

kappaloo 11-15-2004 10:35 AM

My beloved Alan Cumming is on that list, which is no surprise to anyone.

However, I've never heard him refer to himself as "gay" but always as "non-straight" , so I'm holding out hope he's bisexual and as such, still my future husband.

edit: Just reading their bio of him, and they seem to think he's bisexual too. It's about the best news I've heard all week. *swoon*

All I know is that he wants to keep his private life, private. Apparently the actress who plays Karen is bisexual.

I think that's true, however I seem to recall him talking about a wife and a couple of children on the old Rosie syndicated TV show.

Of course that doesn't necessarily mean he isn't gay or bi.
