am i a delta zeta legacy?
 

i posted this question a couple of months ago but i received various different answers. i was wondering it you guys could clarify this for me. if my aunt was a delta zeta through college and is now an alumni, does that make me a legacy?

No; I think you're a legacy only if your mother, sister, or maybe grandmother was a DZ (someone correct me if I'm wrong...that's how I've always heard it). But you can definitely put your aunt's affiliation on your rush application if there's a place to list Greek family members...I'm sure it can't hurt.

As far as I know it is only your mother, sister, or grandmother. I could be wrong though. Even though you might not be a legacy I personally think it looks good that your aunt is a DZ. Good luck!

The Delta Zeta Legacy Introduction form specifies sisters, daughters and granddaughters as DZ legacies, so being a neice does not qualify.

However, ditto to what others have said above-your aunt can most certainly write a letter of introduction for you when you go through recruitment & mention your relationship along w/anything else that would lead her to recommend you!
