The Larry Elder Show...

Hi Sorors, sistergreeks, and friends of GC!

Its this talk show that I look at called the Larry Elder show. It comes on UPN in GA and I was wondering if anyone else looks at this show. He has different topics on everything to racial profiling to marriages on the brink of divorce. I really like this show and I was wondering if anyone else watches the show and what is the opinion of his show.

"Life is all about responsibility and making the right choices..."
---Larry Elder

I've seen the show!

I really like it. It's better than looking at Jerry Springer any day!!!!! I saw a show when parents tried to instill racist beliefs in their children, and it was funny and maddening at the same time!

I haven't seen it but I will be on the lookout for it.

It is a good show. The guests and the audiences can learn something about themselves and life in general by watching his show. I hope it lasts longer than one season. The unfortuante trend in syndication is to keep the drama-filled shows on for year after year, but decent shows don't last very long. A co-worker and I just talked about "The Queen Latifah Show" tonight. I still miss that.

But back to Larry Elder, I appreciate his convictions, and I catch his show when I can.

I think that the topics on Larry Elder's show are really interesting; however, it seems like he (Elder) is more interested in hearing himself talk than presenting different perspectives on the various topics. In every episode I've seen, he shushes his guests repeatedly to get his point across. I'll stick with Dr. Phil :D!

DITTO!!!!!!

Personally, I can't stand Larry Elder as a tak show host. He was good on that broke-down court show he used to do. I was sorry that was cancelled.

Okay so I was up late last night and I happen to come across this show. WHHHHY was it pure ridiculousness.

There was this Black woman on there who hates Black men. She's biracial but looks Black and has 3 children by 3 different white men.

There was a Black couple that hated White people. It was a circus.

Taking it a step up!

Well I mean the show is good because he is just letting you know all about responsibility and choices. He kind of reminds me of Dr. Phil...in a sense. I like both shows, but if you had to choose would you rather watch Dr. Phil or Larry Elder and why?

This should be interesting...I guess. lol!

I would definitely pick Dr. Phil because his show is more geared towards solving problems. When I watch Dr. Phil I often feel enlightened, because I'm benefiting from the advice he gives his guests. On the other hand, Larry Elder presents important issues without coming up with any intelligent solutions.

I think it helps him to get over with his fan base that a good majority of the folks he talks to need to be shushed.
