The activity formally known as GC Diamonds

Thank you to Leslie (ForeverDiamond) for the title of the thread.

Okay with Honey's permission I am posting this thread agian. Very simple though.

I know that sisters are still intereseted in participating in "gc diamonds". Know I put that in quotation marks because the name is subject to change.

Anyways, since not everyone wants to join virtual violets to do this, here is the easy solution...

Just pm or email me or even respond to this thread saying you are interested.

I'll give everyone who is interested a week to let me know, then on the 19th of November I'll (or Shannan if she is still interested in helping to head this round up) send out a questionnarre. And we will go from there. :)

Thanks girls!!!! :)

PM'd You!

Seeing as how I feel that, circumstances being what they are, I totally let my Whatever sisters down, I hate to volunteer again.

BUT!!! I've seen too many good friendships spring from this activity! I think that, even if only 3-4 people are interested, go for it!

(Easy for me to say, right? :D)

I agree with Honey! I've had a lot of fun getting to know PolarPi! Even though I'm not going to sign up this time, I think it's a great way to meet sisters across the nation and I now have a new friend that I would not have known before. And I need to be better about contacting TN-TX- sorry sister!

So I'm in full support of this activity!

And I've enjoyed every minute of getting to know you! It's great to know that through GC, I've gotten to know such an outstanding example of ADPi sisterhood that I may not have had the chance to meet otherwise (not saying that it's definite that somehow I couldn't meet WLFEO somewhere along the road, but it wouldn't be as likely).

Whatever is decided, the opportunity to get to know one another in a more "personal" way (rather than through posts on a very public message board) is something that I hope each one of you would seriously consider doing at some point - there are some wonderful women in this country (and beyond!) that I feel honored to call my sisters!

Just wondering how it was all going? I know we had to send in our questionaire.

ASUADPi 12-09-2004 05:30 PM

It's going well. I got all but one questionnaire back but that is okay.

I will be working on the matching on the reveals this weekend and you all will know soon.

Okay girlies :)

I've made the "matches" I'm just trying to figure out what to do for the reveal, so if anyone has any ideas PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE pm me :) ;) :)

ADPiShannan 01-03-2005 12:43 PM

Did we find out who our matches are? Ive been away with Christmas and New Years and I wasnt sure if I missed it or not.

ASUADPi 01-03-2005 01:27 PM

Like I previously stated....

I've made the matches but if y'all want a reveal I'm still trying to determine what to do.

I've asked for suggestions but as of yet no one has given any.

If you don't want a "reveal" just tell me and I'll send out an email saying "so and so" is your violet sister.

emleepc 01-03-2005 03:47 PM

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "reveal". What did ya'll do last time? Maybe your answer will help to spark some ideas....

ASUADPi 01-03-2005 04:57 PM

Here is what past "reveals" have been...

The first time Sherra (I think it was Sherra) set up a website with clues and links to find out who your GC Diamond was.

The second time Jennie asked each person to give with thier questionnare three or four clues about them. She would then post a clue at a time and then you would try to figure out who your GC Diamond was.

I had an idea to do another "clue" reveal but it took wwwaaaaayyyyy to long to work out the "clues". I only managed to do one person and it took me an hour to do. So needless to say I vetoed that idea.

I'm not technologically savvy otherwise I would set up a site with links like Sherra did. Sorry.

At one time one of the ideas was to have one of the sisters "make something" for the other and that would be the reveal. But people got "testy" with that idea, so it was vetoed.

Just let me know what you girls wanna do and I'll do it.

What if we each made something little, small enough to fit in a regular envelope, and mailed it to you. Then you could send one back to us from our 'whatever' sister. We could include a self-addressed,stamped envelope for the return too I guess. Then after that, it would be up to us to correspond with each other.
On the outside of the envelope we could put "for Emleepc's 'whatever' sister" so you would know who it goes to.

I don't know, just an idea. Feel free to play around with it for more or better ideas!

ADPiShannan 01-04-2005 12:35 PM

Thats a cute idea. Wonder what everyone could make to fit into a envelope? Do you think we should all make around the same thing or same idea. Like say we make something ADPi that fits in an envelope and then a letter for your new GC diamond/violet telling them about you, who you are, where you live, why you joined ADPi all that and Bri could enclose the questions you filled out to her as well or something.

Im at a blank for ideas today. I used them all up on Christmas lol.
