Congrats Stanislaus Chapter! First line in 5 years.
For the SORORS of Stanislaus 2001. Congratulations on your success. I know it was hard but we made it. Hollar at me.
OOOOooooOOOOOP! P.S. On dating, do any of you have GDI boyfriends? Do you think it's better to date Greek now that we are in the organization? |

If you're already dating a GDI, there are changes that you and he will both have to adapt to. As an ultra-excited neo, you will want to spend time with your sands and participate in greek stuff (parties, stepshows, etc.) more than ever. Now that you've crossed and are able to see more of him, he may expect to spend more time with you, and may not understand why you want to do other things with other people. This is a big difference between GDI and greek men; a man in a frat may be much more understanding and accommodating when it comes to you wanting to "kick it." The two of you will have to discuss it, and you will have to be willing to make SOME sacrifices and compromises if you want to keep the peace. Personally, I don't care if a man is in a frat or not. However, I do prefer men who at least know something about black greek life, and respect my decision to be apart of it. I can't be down with a GDI who is against the greek system and speaks negatively and critically about it. Delta is a part of me--if he can't accept AND respect that, he's up out! And I'm Out! the411 ------------------ Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Pi Kappa, SP97 #3 of QUINTESSENCE |

(It's me ASUDiva2003) Soror the411, I have to agree with you. My boyfriend does not understand the greek system and wants no part of it. He is in college also but he does not get involved. On the same token he makes comments that I jump right down his throat about. He makes assumptions about what relationship we have with the Ques and the whole nine. I try to make him understand but there is no helping the situation, it's like beating a dead horse. But I am not going to put on a front and not uphold Delta for the sake of his feelings...oh no no no. I mean I have NEO FEVER. But it does put a strain on the relationship when you are dealing with a person who has no understanding of the greek system. [B] Congratulations and all...but, what/where is Stanislaus? ] Soror, Stanislaus is in the middle of California. It's about 1 1/2 hours from San Francisco. My chapter, Xi Chi, is about 1 hour from them, in Fresno. We all tend to know one another since we are so close. ------------------ Treblk MSK94 Xi Chi 'Delta Seeks No One, Wise Women Seek Delta' |
