Fruit- or Baking-Scented Fragrances

Does anyone have suggestions for long-lasting fragrances that smell like fruit or baking items (chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla)? Yesterday I tried some of the Tutti Dolci line at BBW but I'd like to know about others that really smell like those items, not just sweet versions of the same.

I use a Glade Plug-in in the apple cinnamon scent in my bedroom. Just from using the scent in one room, it makes the whole house smell like just-baked apple pie. My roommate loves it!

If you're looking for shampoos or body-wash fragrances, there's a thread about Philosophy Body Wash/Shampoo here. After receiving great reviews about the Philosophy body washes/shampoos from the GCers, I went to Sephora to see for myself. They smell so good! I bought a bunch of the "Cookbooks" for friends that Christmas. Their scents really do smell like the real thing.

C,
I order a lot of body products from a company called MMU Cosmetiques. They sell makeup and bath products; here is a link to the bath and body product section of the website:

If you scroll down to an area called the "Scent Menu Bar", you can read descriptions of the hundreds of scents they have including many, many foodie scents. Eveything is handmade and absolutely wonderful. I've tried literally dozens of the scents and they are all very "true" smelling; not the chemical versions I've gotten at the mall.

Kilarney Rose, I tried your link and it didn't work. Did anyone else have problem getting to the site?

Sorry about that! It should work now. The link is for the homepage; click on "Bath and Body" to get to what I was talking about in my earlier post :)

Also, it just occurred to me that Carnation might be looking for home fragrances, not body fragrances. If that's the case, C., try here:

The yummiest-smelling candles anywhere! This is a tiny little company and the quality of their candles is outstanding.

My favorite candles come from Old Virginia Candle Company

They send the fragrance through the whole house and it really smells like I'm baking!

Dee

ETA: They have a collegiate collection too!

Thanks, y'all, I'm checking all the links! I want to try everything!:D

Oh. My. Gosh. That Make Me Smooth Company is about to get a very good customer! How on earth can you choose? I've never seen the like!

Future Scenario:

Some Official at our college: "Dr. Carnation, I love that fragrance--what is it?"

Dr. C: "Thank you, it's Monkey Farts!"

And now on to ZTAngel's website! :D

Whenever my roommates cook something nasty (like right now the whole house smells like shitty chinese food) I take an old pan I used to use when I went camping and put in 1cup water, 2Tbs imitation vanilla extract and 1 Tbs cinnamon, then I put it on one of the burners on low-heat for awhile until the place smells like cinnamon rolls.
The mixture can be reused for 2 or 3 weeks, replacing evaporated water each time you use it.

Demeter makes a line of perfumes that smell like food- ex: angel food cake (extrememly good!), cider, etc. I know ulta sells them for sure. they're pretty cheap too.

Two words: YANKEE CANDLES!!!

I know these are more popular on the east coast but I've found them out west too. Oh my god they are the best I use to sell them when I worked at Hallmark. They have all sorts of yummy smells. One of my favorite food smells is Vanilla Cookie and Buttercream. Smells just like the original and it always makes me hungry when I light them. I use to burn them all the time my senior year when a bunch of friends and I had a house together and after graduation I got an email from one of my old roommates saying "I miss our house and how it always smelled like someone was cooking." The big candles are 20 bucks but they sell votives for like a buck so you can sample which ones you like. They also make car air freshners and I'm addicted to them!

Check out your nearest Hallmark Creations store or www.yankeecandle.com/

Dreamers Candles is a locally-based company that has WONDERFUL candles. They are really long-lasting and will smell up your whole house! I like the Orange and Spicy, but there are some cake ones that are great as well.
