Pray for our country!!

With the reelection of George W. Bush, I hope we all will be praying for our country. With no constraints on his administration, he and his gang will be able to do all the things they have dreamed of doing. Expect the reinstatement of the draft because there is no way he can continue his warmongering without more bodies. I truly expect the deficits to at least double over the next four years. More people will be losing their jobs and what little medical insurance they have. And most troubling to me will be their ability to appoint several U.S. Supreme Court justices. Goodbye to our right to choose.

John Kerry and John Edwards ran a good campaign and should be commended for their efforts. God does all things for a purpose. Just like the people of Israel of old, Americans are a hard headed people. Maybe four more years of Bush will wake them up.

Well he was elected by the people. So if something goes wrong then we have no one to blame but those who voted for him, lol.

My question that keeps rolling around in my mind is why so many people voted for him? Can't they see all the suffering that is occuring in the country? Can't they see the sorry state of our economy? Can't they see that the war in Iraq is unjustified and illogical?

I think that a lot of people voted for him because John Kerry was not a strong candidate. I think people wanted to avoid going from bad to worse. Our country is in a very sad state and you're right, much prayer is needed.

I think you're right - Kerry didn't seem to be a very strong candidate. Sad to say, but at least you know what you're getting with Bush; Kerry hasn't been "tested" yet. I realize that you're not born into presidency and that much of it is OJT, but I had my doubt with Kerry as well. I heard a few of my co-workers talk about voting for the "lesser of 2 evils" and I think quite a few people felt the same way.
