Did we do this before?......

A couple of days ago, my husband and I discussing old movies and tv shows. We were wondering what happened to the young lady from Cooley High or maybe it was Claudine(Tamala?) who said "...he was teachin' me how to hold my liquor". Where is Rodney Allen Rippie? And what happened to the Sylvers? Also, I lived 5 blocks from Michael Carter from 'Good Times', and I haven't seen him since 1981 or '82. Where is he?

I'm not sure about any of the people that you mentioned, but I saw Fred "RE-Run" Berry in the UniverSoul Circus here in NYC. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif Btw, did anyone notice on the latest episode of Soul Train that Eddie Winslow's (Family Matters) girlfriend now sings back-up for Eric Benet????

I read in another listserve that I used to be on that Michael Carter or is it Rerun one of the 2 runs an acting school in NY.

What happened to Natalie and Blair of Facts of Life? It's like they stopped acting. I know Natalie is a voice on a cartoon on Fox Family, forget the name.

Re-run is currently one of the main attractions in the circus. Yes, he still does that dance and he does it well. I hadn't heard that he was running a school, but here in NYC I wouldn't be surprised. I did see the "E! True Hollywood Story" about the Facts of Life Girls. Blair struggles with her weight throughout the t.v. show. Now she is some type of evangelist.

I didn't see Re-Run at the Universoul Circus when they were here in Indiana and I got to meet ever'body. I was the special guest of Zeke http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/tongue.gif ( the midget ) one night and a guest of the Ford representative the next night...this sistah had the hook-up! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

The sister you were referring to ("He was teachin' me to hold my liquor..."), her name was TAMU, not Tamala, though TAMU may have been short for Tamala ??? She was in Claudine, not Cooley High, so you are right about that. There is an old EBONY magazine article that explains what happened to Rodney Allen Rippie. I'll pull that up for you if you want.

As for Micharl Carter, his real name is Ralph Carter, Michael was his charactor's name. There was an E! True Hollywood story last year talking about Good Times, and he was interviewed. While I do not remember the specifics, I can say he is doing very well.

There is a website I can pull up about these folks, and I will get back to you on some answers.

I'd love to know what happened to Foster Sylvers! I just KNEW that I was going to marry him back in the day ! ha ha ha I vaguing remember seeing Michael Carter in Jet a while back...I think it was after Easter (sp?) Rolle passed away. He looked quite old and thin.

Eclipse, you are correct. Blair (Lisa Whelchel) is happily married and has no plans to return to acting. She recorded a gospel album in 1984 which was nominated for a Grammy in the Inspirational category in 1985.
Last year she wrote a book called "Creative Correction" on child discipline. She currently works with her husband who is the associate pastor of a church in Van Nuys, California, and is raising three children.

Type in the name of the actor or actress that you are looking for, and it will do the rest. However, some info has biographical/where are they now data, some does not. I know that a no bio for TAMU or Rodney Allen Rippie is available, as such data comes in by 'net trivia junkies like us who contributes it. But it may help answer some questions you are looking for. It does have a filmography of all the shows and movies the actor(ess) was in.

I can't remember Samantha's real name, but IMDB does chronicle TV shows and gives the major cast members, so you can search by title also.

Nia Peeples is a ranger on Walker, Texas Ranger with Chuck Norris on CBS.

Dee on Whats Happening (I am having a senior moment so I cant think of her name http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif ) is a veterinarian with her own clinic. I don't recall where her clinic is though.

Help! A soror who shall remain nameless :D told me that Raph Carter had died. I had not heard such a thing so I am on here to osee if my GC peeps know anything. I am leaning towards this is not true since I cannot find anything on the web saying it is and can find listings of appearances within the last year or so.
