He'd better be. How horribly traumatic for such a young child (well for anyone, but especially a young child) :(

That's absolutely amazing...how calm he was in all of that, just an unreal story.

You're right though...that father is the worst kind of person, and may he receive the worst kind of punishment.

That is so heart breaking.
You really have to respect 911 dispatchers ability to deal with situations like that.

agreed- I hope there's a lot of counseling available for operators who 'witness' crimes over calls. Some of the stuff we read about is chilling, I cannot imagine being in a call center and hearing it firsthand.

ETA: Washington State has the death penalty. I am guessing this is on the Army Base (Ft. Lewis)

wow i teared up at how sad that is. I mean having your father attempt to kill you how rough is that? I hope the kid doesn't have any issues that he can't work through

This is the saddest thing that I have read in a long time. That poor little child.

I hope that child ends up in a loving home. He needs all he can get right now.
