Gammas New House
Hi Ladies,
The Gamma Chapter moved this fall into an old Fraternity house that was renovated for us, designed by our landlord with our needs in mind, luckily the State News covered a story about turing all of the greek housing (we arn't greek) into historical society/dictrict. Heres the link, with a picture of the new house (built in 1930) Gamma's House |
That is a beautiful house. That is so cool that it was the first greek house for MSU.
:D |
We are definitely a Greek organization and thus "Greek", but not in the sense that the word is used at some schools... to mean IFC or NPC. I think that's what Allie's referring to in this case, the chapter is not part of the college Panhel system. (At some universities, though, Sigma Alpha is part of that system.)
Great house and great publicity, isn't it?! (I'm a MSU alumna and always thought that was the prettiest house around!) :) |
Wow
Oooooo, man am I jealous:D
That is a beautiful house. I like the fact it has such a rich history. I'm sure your chapter will have many, many special years in that house. I would love to see some pictures of the inside. Do you have any by any chance? It is unfortunate that we are unable to have a chapter house where my chapter is at. Frats are allowed to have them but not sororities. A stupid rule in my opinion, but that is another story:) Thanks so much for sharing this with us! (Oh and sorry about the the other post. I meant to hit reply instead of start a new thread. I am still getting use to this message board.) |
welcome to this message board! glad to have another regular poster. :)
as one of the thread administrators, I can delete threads if needed... since it sounded like you didn't mean to start that other one, I made it go "poof!" |
Thanks, LOL
Yeah, I felt a little stupid for doing that... so thanks for fixing that post for me ;) Thanks for the welcome!

I don't have a digital camera but am supposed to be getting one soon, I will shoot the inside of the house when I do. The best part is that Mr. Reynolds allowed us to work for him while the renovations were taking place. I can honestly say I put a lot of work into that house :) I know some of the girls that live there can also say the same thing. Gamma was very lucky that we have such a supportive landlord.
