Volunteering
I am in a tutoring group that REALLY needs African-American volunteers.
I don't know how to help get the word out: I've e-mailed my grad student group, the undergrads have been told repeatedly, but we just need MORE help. What do you think we should do? I love these kids, and they need more positive role models to show them that post-secondary education is viable and reachable. Thanks, in advance, for your advice. ------------------ @~~^~~~~ The most beautiful thing in the world is, precisely, the conjunction of learning and inspiration. -- Wanda Landowska |
Is this at a college? If so, contact the alumni to serve as volunteers.

Hey, Direc!
I just had an evil thought: what if I contacted the AKAs and Deltas and Zetas I know and suggested they mention the program at one of their functions??? http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif ROFL J/K |

I agree with Mom, do approach the local Pan Hellenic Council or the one at a college. ------------------ Director #2 LMAC Spr 99 |
