Maybe the Gators will finally be good again!

i have a problem with schools firing head coaches because their football team is not as good as it once was. there are too many good teams and winning every game may not be possible. look at what happend in nebraska, and their team is not doing too good since then.

Uhhhh, there's nothing wrong with the team. Florida is a talented team no doubt about it....the main problem here is when you lose as many games as Florida has and they way they lost them.....it's not the team, it's the coaching.

Penn State should fire Paterno.

That's never going to happen. If anything, he'll be quietly forced out, but they wouldn't take the PR hit of firing Paterno; he built that program.

Yeah, I can see Penn State ponying up a big amount of caiche (sic) to get JoePa to split. I can't imagine the school taking a massive PR hit of actually firing a venerated coach.

thank God he is gone. i can finally be a Gator fan out in public again...:p

JoePa is going to leave when he wants.

As for me  i want him to retire gracefully But I know that given all of the great things he has done for us
1. Without him, we would be another podunk school in Central PA
2. He MADE our football program
3. He has invested alot of money on our campus. He funded the entire construction of the Paterno libraries.

I think there will be more chance of him becoming a figurehead with another coach making the decisions than him stepping down. He's going to die coaching the Nittany Lions

on a side note: 6-4. WTF!!!!

I'm pissed that if they hire Spurrier, the rumour has it that he's taking one of OU's co-defensive coordinators (Pelini).
