The official "I voted 2004" thread

i sent mine in a couple of days ago. maybe in 2008 i will do the traditional standing-in-the-line thing and vote on the spot. i did my part :)

Voted early on Monday. This coming Monday, we get a real treat. W is coming to our corner of the world...first President in 70 years to visit Greeley.

Got tickets to take my family. Should be fun.

Already did my civic duty by early voting... I'll be goddamned if I hafta stand in line for a long time waiting to cast my vote.

While I may be a lifelong registered Republican, I won't reveal who I chose to vote for and why until the polls close. I wasn't impressed by negative sh*t-slinging attack ads from either side.

And WTF is this over-done "I'm so-and-so, and I approved this message?" No sh*t, Sherlock, I can read the f*cking disclaimer on the TV!

ETA: Voted straight Republican ticket.

Voted in the Parliamentary Election, 1st Round Presidential election and the 2nd Round Presidential election.

That little saying just gets on my last nerve!! Would they say "I'm so-and-so and I DON'T approve this message!"
I'm going to vote early just as soon as the bell rings in about 5 minutes!

I started a similar thread last month.

I mailed in my ballot this week :D

Munchkin03 10-23-2004 03:31 AM

The ballot is signed and sealed. Tomorrow, I'm going to go to the post office to add insurance and a certification request. This is Florida we're talking about--I'm NOT risking any isht with my vote.

I just registered this year. I don't get the vote early and vote often thing. Does Michigan do this? I've never heard of it here.

ZTAngel 10-23-2004 01:50 PM

I waited almost 2 hours in line this morning to do early voting. It was worth it since I'm sure the lines will be worse on Nov. 2. I overheard one of the poll workers saying that they're expecting 80% turn out this year; I don't know how true that is.

tinydancer 10-23-2004 07:08 PM

I voted yesterday and there were only about 5 other people in there. Of course, it was pouring down rain so I think folks just looked out the door and said "Oh, forget it!!"

amgn253 10-25-2004 08:45 PM

I sent my ballot in on Saturday!!!

CrimsonTide4 10-25-2004 08:47 PM

I will early vote Saturday morning to avoid long lines later Saturday and on 11.2.04. I really believe nationwide that voter turnout will be at an all time high.

mu_agd 10-26-2004 06:50 AM

i sent my ballot in last week.

UKDaisy 10-26-2004 07:55 AM
