Men!!! (Uhhhhh) sooo ungrateful...
Hello all.
Question to women in relatiionships (unmarried or married) My fiance' wants me to get him something specific for his birthday. Unfortunately, I can not afford at this time to get it for him because it is kind of expensive. He wanted this gift for Christmas too but since he didn't get it then, he wants it now. When i told him i wasn't going to get it for him he said "well don't get me nothing then". I can tell you i KNOW he will be furious if i didn't get him anything but would you still buy him a gift? If so, what are some inexpensive romantic gifts you'd get for him? I am sooo mad right now. Thanks for any advice offered. |
Hello.
Although your man may be appearing to be ungrateful, remember this is a MAN we are talking about. If he cares the least about you all you have to get him is a THOUGHTFUL gift. If he has a tantrum after that, you need to think if he is really the person you want. Gift wise, though, think about him and what makes him. Think about somethings he may need, but focus on something he will enjoy. You don't necessarily have to "purchase" him anything. My boyfriend's bday is coming up. I am not buying him anything. But when he gets home from work he will find that his home has been cleaned from top to bottom, his bath will be ready (candles and all), their will be a very thoughtful dinner awaiting (he loves italian and I love to cook), he will enjoy me giving him a massage and sharing a special book of poetry with him while some strong jazz plays in the background. But that is for MY man, what does your man enjoy?? |
Well RenaG., I could think of a hundred gifts that you could possibly get your fiance'. However, it concerns me that he (your fiance') would pitch a fit about a gift that he knows that you can't afford. I would ask him, after SERIOUSLY checking his attitude again, what would be the NEXT best thing to this particular gift. Or I would work something out with him to get the gift that he wants, such as you pay 2/3 of the price and he pays 1/3. I would also consider how WORTHY he is of this gift, such as how long I've been with him, how he treats me, his attitude about getting the gift, etc. I hope that he's not asking for something like a CAR. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif
