i LOVE having my eyebrows threaded. it doesn't hurt to me but i have a high threshold for pain. if tweezing doesn't hurt to you, threading won't. as for the cost, i go to a salon that charges $5 and i've pay that or maybe $7 for waxing.

Perhaps I'm behind on the times (or maybe its Indiana that's behind??) but can someone 'splain me what "threading" is??

Threading is a form of hair removal. The technician uses a piece of 100% cotton thread & in this awesome method I like to watch, they remove the hair. I get it done on my eyebrows but you can also get the hair on your face, upper lip, neck done. It's not recommended for body hair b/c it would take too darn long but I like it.
I go to a place in the city of Artesia called ZIBA. If you check out their website, www.zibabeauty.com, it explains more & tells about the procedure.
My eyebrows cost $8 to do.

100% cotton thread is twisted and rolled along the surface of the skin entwining the hair in the thread which is then lifted out from the follicle

Threading is painful. Worse than waxing and tweezing, IMO. I tried it once, and I never went back (my friend did it for me).

But it does remove hair effectively (more than tweezing if done right), so if pain doesn't bother you...go right ahead.

I did it once too...my soror took me to the salon she goes to. I remember that it did hurt a little, but I remember that the results DID last longer than just tweezing or waxing, and the price was below $10

Now that I think about it....why didn't I go back???

OK! Now I'm on the hunt for a good salon to thread my eyebrows!...anyone in the Chicago area know of a good salon??
