You can spend 24/7 on the internet doing all the research you can about the sororities at UF, but you won't know anything until you actually go through rush itself. You won't know if XO's right for you until you go through the rounds and meet the sisters. Rush is a MUTUAL SELECTION. So just because you like them a lot, it doesn't mean they'll feel the same way about you!
Any sorority can look good online. Just because your mom's friend offers to write a rec for you doesn't guarantee you a bid. Girls who go through rush at UF usually secure recs for ALL sororities just to set them apart from everyone else.
I'm glad you're shopping around for sororities, but if you're really serious about it, I'd try to be more discreet if I were you. There have been many GC women who did not receive bids as a result of the crap they've posted online.
Read the UF rush threads. It's not always sunshine and daisies.
