Delta Gamma Constitution
 

Hi Ladies!

I was browsing the "heritage" section of Anchors Online and saw that the DG Constitution mentions a Delta Gamma call and a whistle, that have both fallen into disuse. I thought this was interesting and wanted to learn more about it. So, I tried finding a copy of the DG constitution online, but have been unsuccessful. Do any of you know where I can find the constitution online? Maybe it isn't considered an "open" document, and so it isn't published, but several chapters and even Anchors Online reference parts of it, so maybe it's out there somewhere.

I read through the const. when I was at convention and there was no reference to a call or whistle. It is a legal document, through and through. I bet the archivist at EO could point you in the right direction. Her name is Carrie.

The call is located in Article 21: Insignia, section 7 of the Constitution. This can be found in your Collegiate Officers Manual in section 2, page 18.

The new member badge, the pledge pin, the Fraternity colors, crest, flowers, seal and call are in this section. They probably weren't discussing any of this section at convention, which is why they probably didn't hand it out.

You can call DG Executive Offices and they will give you the call and whistle information.

I've seen Maureen Syring stick her fingers in her mouth and produce quite a loud whistle -- Is that the Delta Gamma whistle??!? LOL
