Hooray!!!
Notice something diffferent about my signature? Yep, that's right, I'm PX now! w00t. I have to wear the shit out of my letters for a few more days and then no more! I'm going to need to go shopping...i don't have much clothing that doesnt have my letters on it!
|
yeah for you...
have a blast and know the letters will be waiting for you. and think of the wonderful you will do. |
Congrats! At the university where I advise, I was told you couldn't be called specifically "PX" as a result of a copyright conflict with prescriptions (the symbol is also "PX". they now use "Gamma PX" to get around the PX conflict...
You don't have anything like that? P.S. How the heck do I use Greek Letters rather than spelling everything out? I have yet to figure this out?! |
Congratulations, PhoenixAzul!! I'm sure you'll have a great time, and be an even better Rho Chi!!

As a result, at my campus at least, they can no longer use PX...I think it's dumb..."you don't monkey with tradition!" LOL |

Anyway, we can't be called PX's anymore beacause of that existing group. NPC voted on Sigma Rho Chi as the new name, but also left it up to individual campuses to decide how to rename the Recruitment Counselors.
Personally, I really liked the name UCF gave to the fraternity "recruitment counselors"-- they were called G.L.C.'s, or Greek Life Consultants. I just really like that name. Not every thing needs to have Greek Letters in it! :) Esp. for a PNM who can't tell Alpha from Omega. |
Congrats to PhoenixAzul!!!! I was a Gamma Chi (we had to change ours too) or Greek Counselor when I was in college. It's hard sometimes, but honestly, one of the best experiences I've ever had!!! I know you will enjoy it, and learn so much!
|
yea for you! i was a Pi Chi (panhellenic counselor, that's what penn state decided to change the name to) last year and it was one of the best greek experiences i had! you're gonna have so much fun!!!!
