letter shirts/sweatshirts
I was wondering if people would be interested in posting photos of their letter shirts/sweatshirts. I think it would be a good way to get ideas about color and patterns. If you had yours made someone other than Anchor Trader, tell us that, too.

This is my sweatshirt, from Anchor Trader! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...Picture219.jpg This is the letters on my jersey. If you can't tell, the print is a pink and white gingham. The color part at the bottom of the sleeves is a light pink, and the jersey itself is a light blue. I love it :) |
I have two sets of letters...the first one is one I got off e-bay for $2!! The t-shirt is white and is a baby T from express. The top layer is red with white stars and the background is dark blue (looks like red or brown in these pictures though) Anyway, here they are:

It's on a white t-shirt with a red and white anchor top layer and the bottom layer is red as well. Here are mine
I got this sweatshirt made when I was initiated. My sister had it made at a greek shop in Clinton, S.C.
It is a navy sweatshirt, with plaid letters on a white background. The only thing I wish I had gotten was a size large, because the medium shrunk to next to nothing in the dryer (from originally being so long I could almost wear it as a dress!). They forgot to stitch inside the center of the delta, but it hasn't come apart. I'd like to get another set, maybe on a long sleeve t shirt. http://gilbert.homeip.net/letters.JPG |
Here are some of my letters that I own. I gave a bunch away to my littles at senior aloha, mostly the printed fabric ones. Ive come to like the solid colored letters better over the years. hahah.
i have another sweater its carcoal gray with pink on white...but i lost it. http://shim1.shutterfly.com/procsser...cMW7g4EF64brbQ those were my very first set of letters...family letters! http://shim1.shutterfly.com/procsser...cMW7g4kF64brmg |

:D |
oh puhleaz deegeeprincess... :o
where IS that gray one with the pink and grey HUH? |
Ok.....here are all mine. I gave away A LOT of them, but these are the ones that I kept because they are my big/lil shirts, and shirts that I love!
http://www4.ncsu.edu/~cjmoore6/100_0242.JPG Starting from the top: The back of my windbreaker jacket. white fabric on top of green background. Meghan and Anne's Big. Black long sleeved shirt with off white anchor and sailboat fabric on top of burgundy background and off white lettering. This was my second big/lil shirt that I made. It was for my two littles I got in Fall 2001. Orange short sleeved shirt with blue Hawaiian flower fabric on the lettering. Background in white. I bought this shirt for Philanthropy party when I was in charge of recruitment cause I wanted to go with our Hawaiian theme. The only sweatshirt that I have. Green and tan plaid fabric with a darker tan background. I believe I got this from one of those bins that Greek 101 or someone else used to drop off at our house in order to get us to buy stuff from them. Tan long-sleeved shirt with blue star letters on a red background. My roommate and I decided that it would be cute to have a "roomie" shirt so she has one too! The first big/lil shirt I ever made (and boy was I nervous when I did it cause I didn't think it would look right). Burgundy fabric on the letters with tan anchors on tan background. White baseball tee with burgundy 3/4 sleeves and neck. My last big/little shirt. White baseball tee with blue short sleeves. Blue fabric with silver stars and silver background. and finally! My very first set of letters! I got them on big/lil night from my big. Its a green long sleeved shirt with white and yellow flowers on a white background. I stopped wearing it about a year and a half after I got it because I thought I had ruined it at ADPi's philanthropy event (I got pie on it and I washed it and the grease stain didn't come out) but I pulled it out last year and looked at it and couldn't find the stain. So I can finally wear it again!!!! All of the shirts I got (except the sweatshirt) were made at Sports N Duds in Kent by good ole Fred! :D |
Cool. I like this thread. Getting a lot of ideas!

Here are some more pictures. We got matching letters in the Hawaiian and the Zebra print with sisters who liked the fabric.
http://shim1.shutterfly.com/procsser...cMW7k4EGHK2DaI DGMarie...if you're looking for fabric ideas, go to the local fabric store like Joann's and pick whatever fabric you look...they usually turn out great once their made. Like I said before, I like the solid colored letters better and the Greek/Embroidery store usually have alot of designs/fabrics/colors to choose from!!!! The very 2 in the front are single stitch and in the back are double stitch!!!! |
