The Official Homecoming 2004 Thread!!!
So who are you paired with? What are your events? Who do you play? How'd you do?
I'll start: Kent State homecoming starts Oct. 16th! We're paired with Sigma Phi Epsilon & Theta Chi! We play the Marshall University Thundering Herd! Judged events: *Student Center Spirit Window- Paint a student center window to show your school spirit. *Carnival Booth Competition- everyone creates a carnival booth/display centered on the theme complete with a fun carnival game! *ROLL CALL!- The big event! Each group must have 20% of their chapter in a cheer/dance/skit centered on the theme! Good Luck to everyone! Have a great homecoming! |
I think that our partners this year are Delta Tau Delta and Delta Chi...but I have done nothing with homecoming so far so I really don't know.
Two girls from my house are in the top 10 for homecoming royalty which is super exciting! The events we have for greeks are: -Fling: 20 minute skits by all the greek pairings and some other student orgs. -Blood Drive -House Decs -Parade Umm...I know we have various service projects throughout the month of October Res halls and other student orgs. have homecoming activities as well, but I don't know what they are... We play Oklahoma State for the game I believe... |
how fun
That sounds like so much fun! We don't have a homecoming, or a football team.

Washington and Lee's Homecoming Weekend was October 2-3.
I was nominated for Homecoming Court by my sorority and was named 2nd runner up! :D My parents were there and everything and it was so awesome. Probably one of the best weekends of my college career! And we stomped Randolph-Macon!!! A good weekend overall. My date was a Lambda Chi which was good times. The first runner up was a law student--the 3L nominee. The Homecoming Queen was a independent (she was in a sorority but deactivated). She was nominated by Chi Psi and is a wonderful person. We don't do the float pairings. There is a banner contest. I forgot which GLO won. Pi Beta Phi won the organizational street chalking contest.... It was a fun weekend overall. I saw a lot of good bands at the frats and elsewhere--Drive By Truckers, Carbon Leaf, this awesome Bon Jovi cover band... Unfortunately I missed Cast Iron Filter. The best part was the senior-alumni winetasting the school put on I think. HAHAHAHA alums are so crazy and fun. And I drank like 5 glasses of merlot and was knocking everyone dead with my suavity. AWESOME! On the other Homecoming thread I posted some pics of the weekend. |

You can imagine how AGRs were screaming and did crazy things at the awards, esp since FH didn't place at all. But anyway ... I am furtunate to *once again* be at the Homecoming. |

My senior year we were also with AGR and ended up 2nd overall. That was just Not Good Enough for them. You would have thought the world ended. I was sick so I couldn't properly enjoy Homecoming. Maybe next year! |
