Women's college protesting male admission

I find this interesting, right when some schools (not college level, but elementary, middle and high schools) are experimenting with single sex classes

Many Old Girls (alumnae) from my all girls' high school feel that the profs in their co-ed universities call on them (and the other women in their class) less often than they would guys. From personal experience, I was actually told by a (female) prof not to talk so much in a history class because I wasn't giving other students a chance to participate (and I wasn't even talking all that much).

This is my experience as well. If you're an assertive woman, you should have no problems. If you aren't assertive (around men), you have other issues that an all-women's school won't help you with. I can see the value in single sex education, but this is a little over the top.

Mills College had the same situation in the late '80's. I think they're still an all womens college.

I had instructors as well as professors that deducted points if you didn't participate enough in class. I've never seen any teachers at college level ever tell a student in class that their views aren't wanted in their classroom.
