I don't watch cooking shows, really I don't cook much, if at all (I can but choose not to LOL). My parents on the otherhand are totally OBSESSED. I am going to see them tommorrow and I can totally predict when I arrive they will both be sitting in the living room in their recliner chairs watching the food network.

I'm totally addicted to Good Eats right now. I think it's such a good show because it focuses on what you make in your kitchen, the easiest way to do things, and the best appliances to buy/own. My husband has also become addicted and because of the show become the main cook in the house. All he wants for Christmas is kitchen items. Alton Brown is coming out with a new cookbook this week which is about baking, so I'm looking forward to some good desserts in the next few weeks!

Iron Chef USA just didn't cut it. |
ooooh!!! i am a Food Network addict!!!! i drool over the foods they show on that channel. i love Alton Brown. he is so funny when he is cooking. i seriously could watch any of those shows. i LOVE the shows about all of the festival foods.
i am a true fan of the channel |
With Iron Chef, I like when the commentator guy says someone's name, but it sounds like he's saying "Croissant!"

I love "A Cook's Tour" but it's not on very often. I also love both "40 Dollars a Day" (Rachel Ray is so cute!), and "Good Eats". And, though it's not really my style, "Paula's Home Cooking" is very soothing to watch.
I'm not a big fan of Emeril - his recipies, for the most part, are so complicated, and I just don't find his on-air demeanor appealing. I once made his sweet-potato brownies, and while they were awesome, it took THREE HOURS to make!!! The Food Network web site is a wonderful resource for recipies - you can find just about anything on there. It and www.epicurious.com are the first places I go to find stuff (ignoring all the cookbooks I have in my cabinet...I have a small, uh, cookbook buying problem). |

I also like:
Home cooking with Paula. 30 minute meals with Rachael The dessert one, where the lady makes all desserts. I think it's everyday Italian, with that one chick that's really skinny Good eats Unwrapped I think it's called "The history of..." Bobby Flay It's the only channel that has something good on it all the time. |

Rachael Ray annoys me to NO END! LORD, does everything she puts in her mouth taste THAT good that she has to roll her eyes, and say "MMM!"??? C'mon!
I have a mission in life: to see Rachael Ray PISSED OFF! NO ONE IS THAT FUKKIN HAPPY! That said, I do watch her shows... for the info only. :) My fave shows are "The Best Of..." and "Top 5". BTW, is it me or does the host of "Top 5" seem to have girly hips and man boobs??? He's always hiding behind a table!!! |

She has toned it down recently, though - did you notice? I guess she really can't say "ew, this is horrible!" seeing as she is there to give viewers tips on GOOD places to visit. The other thing I think is funny is when she just "happens" to make a new friend in a city or visits a restaurant and begins a conversation with the staff that eludes to the fact that it's her first visit. Obviously, they have to do pre-visits and ok the camera crew, etc.. Again, what else can she do? "Hi, I'm here again, this time with my camera crew" doesn't make for good TV. |
I love Paula! I met her over the summer at her restaurant in Savannah, GA (which, by the way, serves the best food I have ever had!). She is just so sweet in person! :)
