What did Howard Dean give Kerry for Christmas?
 

From the archives of the Des Moines Register, this gem dated Dec._25, 2003:

Howard Dean supporters gave John Kerry a peculiar Christmas gift--flip-flop sandals.

Iowans for Dean delivered the "present" to the Massachusetts senator's Iowa campaign headquarters on Wednesday._._._.

"Sen. Kerry has been flip-flopping on issues throughout his career and campaign, and we thought we could make things a little more comfortable for him," said Dean spokeswoman Sarah Leonard.

The story doesn't reveal what Kerry gave Dean, but we hear it was a chance in 2008.

I miss Sarah. I worked with her on the Norris campaign in 2002. Awesome lady. I think she and I first met Dean at the same campaign event in Sept '02.
