Hanson is back?!?!
So I had my launch cast player playing in the background while I was doing some studying and I heard a song and went to check my recently played list and it was Hanson.... and it was a good song.
 The song: Lost Without Each Other by Hanson |
When "Penny and Me" came out last Spring (April, I think), I went ahead and bought the new Hanson CD. I thought all the songs on it were wonderful.
|
I went to a Hanson concert back in July. It was seriously one of the best shows I have seen. Those guys are so incredibly talented.

"Penny and me" wasn't half bad.
Someone finally knocked some sense into 'em. |
The greatest thing to come out of Tulsa since...
Well I think they're like the only thing to ever come out of Tulsa, right? |
OK maybe I am just way too into the world of teenybopper pop music, but WHERE HAVE Y'ALL BEEN?
Hanson made their first "comeback" in, like, 2001 with "If Only." I don't remember the name of that album, but it was pretty much critically acclaimed for the large strides they had made and for mixing blues, rock and pop. Their newest album is similar (my baby sister has it), although less bluesy. I wish they would stop doing slow songs though; their fast songs are much much better. At any rate, Hanson has been putting out decent, non-"MMMBop"-style music for at least three years now, kids. |
When they first came out, I thought that they were cute girls. Well, two of them were cute. ;)
I must confess that I liked that Hmmm Bop song. I also liked the Macarena so maybe it's just me. |
OK. HANSON is where i know stuff like crazy. MMMBop was really the only song like that that they put out.
-they've been making great music for about 6-7 years that is nothing like the mmmbop era. -the 2000 CD with "If Only" was titled This Time Around. -Lost without each other is an awesome song. -Underneath is an awesome album. -And they never went away. people just didn't pay attention. yes i am a Hanson addict with a fierce crush on Taylor (the most of the time lead singer) but alas, he is married and has a 2 year old son. woe is me. they got stereotyped by their first two record labels, when they were signed to Island Def Jam they tried for four years to please them after the this time around album, and they literally recorded over a 100 songs which were all rejected. so they went out on a limb and created their own record company 3CG and are now living better as their own bosses. oh and they're 23(24 in nov.), 21 and 18 (19 in two weeks). god i need a life. |
