Hello AEPhi'ers!

Just would like to say hello....my friend and I are in the process of rechartering AEPhi back on our campus, any words of wisdom? We are trying to start an interest group throughout it all. What should be discussed during these meetings? Thanks!!

Giraffe love, Pam

How are things going for you?

so far, going well...we brought our proposition to the jewish community at one of their exectutive meetings last week. We went all out, posters, etc. They were really excited about it and we have their full support and the support of the community 100%! Yay!

Updates!

Well, we finally got a hold of nationals and said that we need to send them a roster of girls interested....I need to send out an email to the girls ( i have the list of people) and I'm not exactly sure of what to say to them. I figure I would email everyone I had on my list, regardless if they are already in a sorority or grad student or whatever, since it's another name on the petition to get us going again. Also, I was thinking of starting off some history of what used to be here, the AEPhi chapter locally, a little bit about AEPhi nationally, and the benefits of having it back on campus, etc. Let me know some of your ideas so we can get this thing rolling! We're working hard and all advice and support is appriciated!! Thanks!:D

Glad to hear things are going well.

If you're going to send nationals a list of interested women, I would advise you not to include women who are already in sororities or who are graduate students. Once you've been initiated into an NPC sorority, you can never join another; and grad students can't be collegians.

However, it isn't wrong to keep in touch with these women, as they may have friends who are eligible and interested.

Good luck. :)

its great to hear things are moving along!! i am a little confused about putting current greeks on your petition so you may have to explain that to us confused gc'ers.

your best bet (with permission of panhel of course) is publicity, publicity, publicity! Hillel is always helpful but it would probably help to send an email to everyone you know asking them to tell everyone they know about what you're trying to do. Emphasize that upperclassman will have a chance at immediate leadership positions that are unlikely to be available in the already established sororities.

keep us updated and best of luck!!
