Were you breast or bottle fed?

I was bottlefed. :D

Breastfed for the first week or so, then bottle.

Bottlefed since I popped out of mom.

Mommy always was sick with some kind of ailment, so her doctors advised her against breastfeeding me.

BREAST! For over a year (I didn't get my first tooth until 15 months).

Ditto! All 3 of us were bottle fed but my mom admits she wishes she was able to nurse

Am I the only one who has no idea? I'm thinking bottle, but it's not something I've ever asked.

I remember being that age and thank god I have no memories of being breast fed. I was a bottle baby!

I'm bottlefed...

...Miller Lite.

My parents were crazy (and great!). During her pregnancies, my mother ate no processed foods, refined sugar, etc. She cooked everything. This was back in the 70s when there were still meat markets and that sort of thing around. I suppose the worst thing she ingested was city water. I was breastfed or bottle-fed with breastmilk (if my mother couldn't be around). I didn't have sucrose until I was about 5 and had my first "real" birthday cake.

I don't either. I'm guessing bottle because that was the attitude of the times.

I think that totally makes sense -- I've always wondered why people give little kids who don't know the difference stuff like cake and other sweets. WTF?

Plus in the ever-fattening America it makes sense.

There are actually quite a few guidelines on what and when you should start feeding your children different things, especially where allergies are concerned. Had no idea until my [biological] sisters started having babies.

rainbowbrightCS 09-27-2004 11:38 PM

My sister and brother were breast fed at first then slowly switched over. My mom tried and tried with me, but she could not breast feed me... btw, im the baby

kk_bama 09-27-2004 11:46 PM

I was bottle-fed, but I plan on breastfeeding my children when/if I have any.

I've heard that breastfeeding can help you lose weight faster after pregnancy, though it also makes you "droop," so to speak.
