Natalie Cole
Is it true that she's one of your sorors? If so, when and where did she pledge. Was it in college? I was just wondering cause I wanted to know was she a Delta when she started with her drug use. All the Delta's I know are all positive women who wouldn't dare touch drugs. I would think that an organization like Delta Sigma Theta would have a profound affect on someone. But I guess sometimes, even the most profound affects can't stop someone from becoming addicted to drugs.

she is a member and pledged as an undergraduate. i cannot remember the school. her drug addiction was unfortuate, but, it was clear that she had a number of issues leading her to abuse drugs. Delta is a powerful thing, but, you have to have some internal motivation to stay clear of ill influences. Delta has all types of people, as all of our organizations do. some we are proud of, some we wish would make better decisions. joining a fraternity or sorority doesn't keep us from make poor choices!

I agree with you 100% soror, even an org. as great as Delta can't stop an ADULT from doing bad things. I'm almost certain that soror Cole's drug abuse was a mistake, put she turned her life around and headed straight for stardom (like a true DELTA would). I"m proud to know that she allowed this mistake into her life, through her misfortune, maybe she can lead other women (who are struggling) to the light. Sometimes it takes going through, to know true appreciation.
