Who's Back????

Hey Y'all!

Wellll...I've been MIA for a minute and wanted to get everyone up to date on the situation. I moved to NY early as well as having other interesting things going on in my life.

Moving
As some of you know, I thought I would be moving in January '05 to get started in graduate school. When I came up to visit the school, I absolutely fell in love with it and realized that I couldn't wait another full semester. I left NY on a Thursday and by the next Thursday (seven days later) I had my car packed, my utilities cancelled and I was on the road to Nyack, New York. On Friday, I checked into my dorm and have been here ever since. I saw God's hand in all of this! Check this out...I found a place to live on the Thursday when I decided to move up to NY. Unfortunately, that fell through by the next week. So, two days before my move, I called the housing office at the school and explained my situation. I was told that I could probably get a shared room in one of the undergraduate dorms. When I got here, I found that I was placed in a graduate apartment instead! Not only is it on the first floor (which I REALLY wanted) but it's also an end apartment in the building which means it's bigger and has an extra window. AND, my roommate is from the South just like me! I just about fell out! LOL!

School
I'm now at Alliance Theological Seminary in the master of divinity program. My classes are going really well and I'm already finding my place in this school.

Former Life
About a week after I moved up to New York, I got a call from the District Attorney who was working on my case (my hex-boyfriend was worsin' and I had him arrested.) I found out that instead of dragging out another 8-12 months, the case is about to be closed because he agreed to plead guilty to a few misdemeanors instead of the felony I had him with. I was fine with that because it means he's out of my life and has to watch out for the 3 strike rule in Georgia.

Men
I am pleased to say that I am developing the first purely platonic relationship I've ever had with a man who is unrelated to me. And, it feels great! I've always had a lot of trouble because I'm boy crazy, very physical and very sexual. Now that I'm putting my life in God's hands, I want to be a Godly woman. So, this is a leap in the right direction. Also, I am surrounded by the world's most incredible bachelors. All of them are educated, all of them (at least in the seminary itself) are dedicated to God, all of them are respectful and, though most of them are married, the single men are attractive and fun. It's like some kind of twilight zone of glory!!

I'm Back
...and ready to see what's going on with the Fall newbies as well as my old GC friends.

ONE,
pj
