Hello. This is my very first post to Greek Chat! I'm yet another potential new member for AI.

I found "my home" and have been waiting for almost two years for initiation. I pursued AI before I ever even knew there was such a thing. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon this website and found there were so many others doing the same thing!

I'm told I've been approved by national, but don't yet have an initiation date. I did buy my dress, and am now waiting.. and waiting... and waiting :)

I hope you understand that I'm so close now... I don't want anything to get in the way, so I'm not going to reveal too much yet.

I will say that the road has been a very, very, very long one. It's been a bit frustrating at times, as it seems to be "hurry up and wait", "hurry up and wait".

As a long-time lurker here, I did want to say that I found the stories posted here quite inspiring and uplifting for me during the times when I was about to give up.

I still do not believe it's ever going to happen. We'll see :)

I think the hardest part is not knowing where the line is between showing interest and appearing too pushy. Had I not read how long others had waited, I probably would have taken it as a sign that it was never going to happen.

So for now, I'm just going to try to be patient a little while longer and see what develops. I've only gotten positive correspondence from this particular GLO, so I can only assume all is proceeding ahead.

If any other PNM's or AIs would like to correspond with me through PM, I'd love to. I think it helps to share experiences.
