An uncle by marriage. He's a pompus jerk.

I have an elite group of aunts who always make it a point to comment on my weight gain since high school. A few years ago I finally had enough, so I outed them in front of the whole family at a large family gathering:

"Yeah well...at least *I* don't sleep with married men...at least *I'M* not a homewrecker!"

Yeah...busted. My mom, who constantly reminds the relatives that I am very sensitive about the weight subject, couldn't help but snicker and give me high fives.

We have a rude aunt. We dont know how she turned out the way she did because no one else in my family acts like her.

If I call you Marlys, it's a bad thing.

What is it with aunts?
 

I have an aunt by marriage whose name is Grace, but she's anything but full of grace!!

The nicest thing I can say about her is, when she & my uncle moved out of state, the entire town breathed a collective sigh of relief!

Not really...

I had an Aunt, by marriage.. but she was divored a year or so ago and since has been replaced with a FABULOUS New (Step) Aunt! :)

I have a distant relative who liked to criticize my major. She always likes to point out how smart her daughter is (she just finished her bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering) and how everyone else isn't as smart. She seems to think that I am dumber since I studied humanities.

In a word, yes.

My mother's only sister. She has no qualms in showing that my sister is her favorite (I know that every person has a favorite, you just shouldn't show it so obviously...especially to a child!). She's a bigot. She's also a great big INTARWEB WHORE.

Maybe I shouldn't say this, but if something happened to her, I wouldn't feel bad outside of feeling bad for her sons (she also puts her www.boyfriends over her sons, which is fucked up).

I have an uncle (mom's side) who is like the opposite of me. He's conservative, racist, sexist, homophobic, thinks Wal-Mart is cool and is moving to Arkansas because it's so great. At family gatherings, we often get into debates that result in him turning a deep shade of pink and yelling. However, i can't say that I can't stand him -- I mean, I disagree with him on pretty much everything but I really find him sort of harmless because he's a lot of talk. Time spent with him always results in great amusement for me.

My cousin is a pompous self-absorbed twit. She married a pompous self-absorbed lawyer but did not invite any of her family except her parents & 1 brother to her wedding b/c the grooms uppity family did not socialize with "people like us" meaning Latinos. However, she did send us card informing us where she was registered & the address where we could send gifts.
