GLO on Resume
if you choose to put your GLO on your resume, for the dates, did you put (initiation year to present) or did you just put the years you were an active at the collegiate level?
i just graduated in may, so much of my volunteer and leadership experiences came from my sorority and greek community involvement, and i feel it should be on my resume at this point. any thoughts? |
There's a lengthy discussion in this thread: What Not to Put on Your Resume.
It discussed the pros and cons of putting your greek affiliation on your resume. Hope this helps! :) |
ZTAngel, thanks for the thread.
i didn't answer my question about dates of membership on the resume if you do decide to put your GLO on. right now i've got "Sigma Kappa Sorority - 2000 to Present" but, since i'm no longer an active collegian, should it read "Sigma Kappa Sorority - 2000-2004" or should i just keep it as it is since i'm still a member? when you've put your GLO on your resume, what do you have? |
I have on my resume
Other Affiliations Alpha Chi Omega - Financial Advisor No dates or anything...just my current affiliation. If you're an alumna, then you can always put Sigma Kappa Alumna If you're affiliated with an alum group and hold an office, you an include that as well....to show you're still involved... but only keep it 1-2 lines... |
