You don't think that Libya rejoining the civilized world is a major accomplishment? How could you not? There's been a huge victory without the US even firing a shot. The guy is dismantling all of his WMD programs, etc. I'm sure that Khadafi being able to sell oil to the US was a motivating factor, but I don't think it mattered that much to him. There were plenty of other countries willing to import from Libya beforehand (France, China, etc.)

Khadafi is more pragmatic, though... he already knows that Libya really stands for Lakenheath Is Bombing Your Ass! 'Cause the next time we come in, we're gonna take him out! (We already gave him a sh*t-scaring in 1986.)

But unfortunately we missed. I suppose this is the right thing to do IF the "Colonel" really give up his wepons programs -- but even his picture gives me the creeps.
