Did you do IT today?

Did you do IT today?

I mean VOTE......

If you haven't yet, I'm praying you will make it to the polls in time.

P.S. Say a little thank-you prayer for all of OUR people who died or was injured trying to exercise this RIGHT!

straightBOS 11-07-2000 12:16 PM

IT's DONE!!

For the 1st time in my life, I have done it!!
I have casted my vote.
At first I didn't know what I was doing but I got a little instruction and I was on my way.

I hope everyone also got out and voted.
Oh, and don't forget those Ballot Questions.

I DID TOO AND I FEEL SO EMPOWERED!

IT FELT SOOOO GOOD TO SEE ALL THE BLACK PEOPLE AT THE POLLS CASTING THEIR VOTE TOO! :)

MIDWESTDIVA 11-07-2000 03:05 PM

Yes I did it! It was well worth the wait in line!

I too, am glad to see that our people were well represented this morning. I've never seen so many of us on election day. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

Eastcoast Sunshine 11-07-2000 04:09 PM

I sure did! ME AND MY MOMMY. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif By 10am it seemed like there was a pretty big turnout.

I live in a predominantly white area so unfortunatley we were the only minorities (voting at that time). Of course we received some stares and 50 million questions such as "do you know how to use the computerized voting machine?" http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/mad.gif That was frustrating!
But I felt so proud and greatful AND (yes STERLING) thankful to all of OUR people who sacrificed themselves so that we could vote.

(I don't know how to use the QUOTE device yet)

YES I DID!!!!!!!! Let me also say that it feels so GOOD, and I too, feel empowered. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif
I am glad to see that all of you too, went to the polls to cast your vote, and I hope that the rest of us out there everywhere do the same. I am also very greatful for those that walked before us to exercise this right.

Many blessings everyone, and enjoy the rest of your day/evening http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

Yes, Yes,

Me To, Me To....

I did it too!!!!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

It was a very exhilarating experience.
I was happy that for the first time in my life I got to rock the vote, make a difference, and use my right to choose.

And as I left the booth, I just thanked God for those before me that sacraficed so much that I may be able to VOTE!!

STAY OUT of THE BUSHES....I DID.. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

c&c1913 11-08-2000 12:45 AM

I voted also. Of course I live in the Bushes (Texas) so I know Gore wouldn't get our state. But I still feel good knowing I voted and can complain if I want or say I told you so.

REALITYBLACK 11-08-2000 04:46 PM

I am SOOOOOOOO excited and scared...

First of all I voted yesterday....

second of all.. ALL of my friends voted yesterday too!!

THIRD AND BEST OF ALL.....The turn out of students that came out to vote at Jackson State University was the biggest that I have EVER seen.. Even the professors, and administrators were commenting on it. I though that they must have been giving away free liquor, chicken, or something there were so many people....Last year not even 200 people showed up to vote at JSU.. I don't know what the numbers were for this year but I know that it was well over 200..

Last of all.. I am praying all day everyday until the final election results comeout that the United States of America sucessfully stays away from Bushes
