Homecoming yays

I put this in another post, but I am making a separate thread about homecoming, because I am SOOOOOOOOO excited. We just got news tonight that the Sigma Pi's chose us to do homecoming float with them. We are all stoked because we've never done homecoming stuff before!!!! We aren't close at all to the AGR's on campus and have finally found a fraternity that we really get along with!!!!
More than that, we're really excited to be able to invite alumni (who are mostly charter members) back for homecoming. I am super stoked about it now, it was my goal when I was elected president to do homecoming, and I started making not-so-subtle hints to some of the brothers, just so that they knew we were interested!!!! I know there are others out there that are getting into the process of homecoming. We would appreciate any advice that y'all have to give!!!!!

Two years ago the homecomming theme was "Going for the Gold" We decided to cover a goose-neck trailer with Golden Harvest bags as a skirt, used corn stalk, yellow mums, and pumpkins...the crowd loved it, we also threw apples from our float to the crowd. We didn't win but our float looked amazing

Last year we did just about the same thing with the "Roots of Excellence" theme. The Roots Olympics Sportswear Designer is MSU Alumni so it was in honor of him.

We manage to turn any theme that ASMSU comes up with and turn it into a FH & Sigma Alpha float with straw, mums, corn, etc :)

Just be creative and do something original.....

What is your theme to work with?

Any ideas for the theme License to Growl? We are the Gators btw.

Our Homecoming Theme is HORRIBLE!!!! "Thanks for the memories" YUCK!! We were thinking about putting picture frames in it somehow, who knows, If anyone has any ideas, it would be appreciated!!!!

Hmmmm - wasn't "Thanks for the Memories" the song Bob Hope sang at the end of all his programs? Maybe you could find a funny inspiration from one of his old movies. People our age might not "get it" but I'll bet the older ones would. Hope that helps.

With that memories theme, you might be able to do something showcasing significant campus events, traditions, locations, etc...
