Recruitment numbers
Wyoming Alpha signed 15 new members today and plans on signing more in the coming days. For the second-straight year, the TG's of WYAL got more men than any other UW fraternity. If my figures are correct WYAL has gone from a mid-sized chapter of 20 or so men with a renewed charter in the spring of 2002 to UW Greek Week winners and UW's largest fraternity in 2004.
The members also plan to hit open recruitment hard as several actives know quality men who didn't go through formal recruitment. They signed five men through fall informal last fall and I've been told they plan to double and maybe even triple that number. It was a weak turnout overall, 90-120 men signed up and about 60 went through the week. Pike came in second, signing around 10. About six of those came in the high-pressure "room away from everyone else" tactic its 130-page national recruitment manual describes. From what I understand the Iota Alpha chapter employs that tactic very well. But that is neither here nor there, the real purpose of this thread is to congratulate the TGs of WYAL on another great recruitment. Way to go fellas! |

Congrats to MA Delta on the pledge class and the forthcoming chapter house. WYAL signed 23 bringing the total chapter size to more than 70. Although they did cut a few second semester guys loose recently.

recruitment
I know in the fall Oklahoma Univ OKKA signs about 65 guys. When I was there, we were only a few years back on campus so we signed 30 guys, but only initiated 15. It is a huge house and can accommodate all the guys, but it is getting a little less personal than how it was when I was there. They have about 215 guys living in the house.
