The new Torch
 

Just got my September Torch!!! Massachusetts Delta Pi got 3 stars. Whoo-hoo. :)

Woo hoo! Congrats! We only had one chapter in my area (Bellingham, WA) that got it (and they are the oldest women in our area) :)

Woohoo! Louisiana Eta Pi is also a three-star chapter! :)

(What do those stars mean?)

Chapters earn points for various activities, and these are recorded in the Chapter Yardstick. For example, a chapter earns points for enrolling a new pledge, for visiting with another chapter, for having a social or outing, etc.

At the end of the sorority year, the points are tallied, and stars are awarded. Three stars is the top rating for points earned; however, a chapter that sponsors a new chapter (Friendly Venture) receives a special Four Star rating.

The star ratings are listed in the September Torch each year.

IMPORTANT: Not all chapters participate in the Chapter Yarkstick, so a chapter that is listed with no stars might still be a fantastic chapter!
