Who is MVD?

I have a Lambda Chi Alpha badge which appears to be very old. It's thick and the locking clasp is broken off. It is hand engraved with the initials MVD. The letters are quite rounded. The M like McDonalds arches and the D almost like a teardrop.

I've had this pin for over two years and look for some reference to a brother with those initials whenever looking through old LCA literature. Now it's driving me nuts.

There's no way to search a database using initials, even if digital lca was still in operation, so now I'm asking for your help. If you've ever heard of a brother from the teens or '20s with the intials MVD, please let me know. The middle name (Vincent?, Victor?) is not that common.

Two ideas:

1) Have you tried the CD version of the latest Lambda Chi membership Directory? I haven't yet; it may have a search feature that could help you.

2) Have you tried early versions of the Directory? Fewer members listed may make it easier to find this person.

Let me know how it goes! I have a 1935 Directory that I am willing to search (if I can find it in the "deep" archive!).
