Krakow to Name Square After Ronald Reagan

The southern Polish city of Krakow decided Wednesday to name a square after former President Ronald Reagan in recognition of his role in ending communist rule.

Krakow councilors voted 19-17 to give the name "Ronald Reagan Square" to the main square in Nowa Huta, a communist-era development built around a major steel plant. Currently called Central Square, it was the scene of numerous protests by workers in communist times.

Some countries in Europe still appreciate the USA's role in their freedom.

I don't know about Poland naming this for Reagan. I appreciate the gesture though. There were so many brave Polish that died fighting for freedom. I guess that's where those 17 nay votes came from.
