well....its good to see that you all have your priorities straight and know what you like in a video game. shameless murder of hard-working prostitutes and gang members for you...killing "the enemy" and evil monsters in a dungeons and dragons type world for me.
oddly, there are strange similarities. heh. |
I'm super excited about Fable. We just got our xbox (finally!), and this will be the first game for me. I'm not into Madden 2004. We also just signed up for Game Fly. Has anyone used it?
|
Fable does sound pretty good. I'll probably be picking a copy of that up.

Thinking of checking out the follwoing when they eventually come out (don't know about soon):
Evil Genius - I've always liked Dr. Evil :) Hearts of Iron 2 - should be a better WW2 simulation Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile - a much improved Pharoh Pirates! - loved the original years ago... The Fall: The Last Days of Gaia - sorta like Fallout but 3D Ghost Recon 2 - first was good, this should be even better VtM: Bloodlines - always enjoyed the pen & paper game Xenus - looks like a cool RPG FPS combination |
Is anyone else playing a computer game called City of Heros?
I've never been a video game person, but I am totally addicted! You create your own superhero (powers, costume) and run around bringing down crime. It's so much fun! http://www.gamestop.com/common/images/lbox/645391bm.jpg |
Coop --
Ghost Recon is a strange game. Tough. I think being ex-military is a prerequisite to be good at it. I had a copy of the game I think last year, maybe the year before. I played one game with a buddy of mine who's a first seargent in the infantry. I was just walking around, had no indication of where I was and then I was dead. That kept happening. Now, I don't suck at FPS's. I'm pretty good at Halo. But Ghost Recon is just tough. Being tactical in FPS just ain't my thing. |
ktsnake---
Yeah Ghost Recon takes a little getting use to... but it does follow the basics of fire and movement, in addition to small unit tactics. I really like the game for it's modding community; so you can customize troops and equipment (even Canadian :)) |
Well, lately I've been addicted to Fight Night 2004. Roy Jones Jr. is the best player in the game. I don't usually play anything other than Madden or Knock Out Kings but this game is off the chain. I feel like such an ass when my new lady calls me and I tell her I'm in the middle of playing PS2 and that I'll call her back.
Here's the games we got recently: Madden 2005 Fight Night 2004 (best game ever) |
Halo 2, coming Nov. 9. Xbox.
Don't know if I'll actually PLAY it, but I'm mentioned in the credits (using a pseudonym)...! ;) |
I just got Silent Hill 4: The Room
I love the Silent Hill games. I'm also waiting for Kingdom Hearts 2. The first one was awesome. QUESTION: I used to play a computer game on my uncles PC years ago & was never able to beat it. It's starting to bug me (13 years later) & I would love to play & beat this obsolete game. Problem is, I can't find the game anymore. I think the name of the game was Hero's Quest but I'm not 100% sure. I've tried to google & search for the game, I've even looked on ebay but the ones I found didn't look like the one I was looking for. Does anyone have any clue what I'm talking about? The game had a hero that you semi-designed. You could make him a warrior, a thief, or a magician. You had quests to do such as bringing back ingredients to a healer lady for a special potion. You could eat at an inn run by cat-like "people." You could sleep under a tree & dance with fairies. Finally, you had to have an intellectual duel with a wizard named Erasmus. I clearly remember never winning this duel b/c his final question was "What is the meaning of life?" If anyone has any clue as to what game I'm talking about, please help out! I'm really anxious to find it & play it. |
