Buying Greek Shirts and Gifts

I'm helping my younger brother (real brother) buy some stuff for his frat. I havn't done this for a while, and was wondering what some good sites / companys are to get stuff from now. He needs some shirts for a homecoming party, and also needs to get some paddles.

thoughts?

Your helping him buy stuff for his fraternity?

Does his fraternity not have any kind of 'in place' procedure for this? Usually the organization provides the t-shirts, or at least the opportunity to purchase them. If you're looking for random gift type items, I always thought that handmade things were the best.

Okay, this thread is nearing a year old (but I did use the search feature!), and I have some questions:

What are some GOOD greek letter t-shirt places online?

Do any of the places have the really, really large letters? I had a wonderful shirt that was given to me by a senior - the letters must have been 12" tall! I got so many compliments on it, but haven't seen anything like that since it "died".

What's the expected amount of time for a custom shirt to arrive?

Has anyone ever taken a shirt & letters (or material) to a place which does embroidery and had a shirt especially made for them?

HELP!!!!

I know Something Greek and The Greek Shop both will make letters out of fabric that you give them. I have quite a few sets of letters that were made out of fabric that I gave them. Or if you have any crafty sisters, buy the fabric and ask them to make the letters for you. As far as the big letters go, I saw some shirts and jackets with pretty big letters on them, I don't know how big they are, but they were definitely bigger than the standard 4" ones. Hope this helps.
