U of T Fraternity House on TV tonight
 

CTV news just compared a U of T fraternity house with a men's residence. They didn't mention the fraternity, but it was LXA (I saw a guy with a Lambda Chi shirt on). Did anyone in TO see the segment?

No did not see. What , Who U T, Tn, Tx.?

It was on the local news at 11:30 pm last night. I checked www.cftonews.ca but it doesn't seem that they have segments for viewing there. They basically talked to a few LXA brothers, looked at their fridge, and showed some footage of the guys.

Great... I hope they cleaned those damn fridges first....

I don't know, but I'll look into it.... see exactly what was going on... it's rare the the LCA house ever gets shown; Zeta Psi nearly always makes the print or tv (amazing property).

Basically the newsgroup came by the house to compare to the men's residences on campus - specifically the rules concerning the living enviroment.

Problem was that they wanted to see mess, empties, and evidence of wild parties; basically to use us as one end of the spectrum compared to a strict catholic men's residence.

However they did get to see that that's not what we are about, and it did portray the chapter specifically, and fraternities at UofT, in a good light - and helped despell some of the usual sterotypes.
