If he wants to hold up his 4 months of service against Bush fine.

If he wants to hold up his 4 months of service with his medals against other veterans, then that's a different story.

Stop trying to make this into something it's not. There are no large scale protests with people burning pictures of Kerry and accosting him.

I think the behavior of those sporting the purple heart bandages is reprehensible.

No veteran or active-duty military member that I know of has any sort of issue with Kerry extolling his war record and it is sickening that anyone would make light of it. For the record, it's his behavior after returning from Vietnam that has veterans up in arms (so to speak)

Whenever I would see rowdy liberal demonstrators taking cheap shots at the convervatives I would sometimes think that it would refreshing to see the tables turned. But now that I *have* seen it, I don't like it. Two wrongs don't make a right and all that jazz.

Wounds to the arm and to the buttocks. The arm is cited in reports from the third purple heart incident as being wounded from a mine explosion. The buttocks are slightly hazy with a possible accident he had with a grenade. Regardless of whether it was an accident or enemy fire, the purple heart can still be given for it.

That's true. A number of guys from Vietnam got their free ride home and a Purple Heart for shooting their own toes off. Purposely.

But, back to Kerry, one of those who support his awards pointed out recently that the arm injury could just as easily been a bullet through the heart under the circumstances.

If these bandages mock the military, what about the boxes draped with flags a la military coffins the Anti-Bush types carried down the streets in their protests? You know what? that actually looked similar to another group that i've seen do that often.

I'm glad the Anti-Kerry types aren't emulating the Palestinians, but that's just a personal preference.

So they were wearing bandages on the floor of the convention. Far cry from telling someone to "go home and kill their babies" or pushing middle-aged women around.(see my thread if you dont' know what i'm talking about) Not to mention injuring policemen who are there to protect the public.

And i'm sure there were worse signs, hats, etc in the DNC mocking Bush. Turnabout is fair play.
